Introduction
The Question Practice area allows self-learners to practice all the twenty (20) question types of the PTE exam. This article explains the basic user interface of the Question Practice feature in PTE Labs Pro.
The User Interface
Main Menu
The Question Practice section offers a main menu to select the necessary question type.
- Click Question Practice from the left sidebar
- Select the required question type from the main menu
Practice Interface
The Practice Area changes based on the selected question type, but there are three generic sub-areas for each question. These three sub-areas are labeled in the figure below.
- Practice Area Header
- The Question Content Area
- Practice Area Bottom Toolbar
The header area has the question type label, type name, and an optional timer on the right-hand side. The timer, if available, shows the recommended time to be spent on one question of that time. The per-question timer is only available during question practice and is not part of the practice tests or the PTE real exam.
Question Content Area
The question content varies by the type of question. Instructions on how to attempt each question are displayed at the top of the question. An example is illustrated in the figure below.
The bottom toolbar has the control buttons to submit attempts, view the latest score, and retry a new attempt. It also has options to jump to a particular question or move to the next question. In the case of the free Starter plan, the remaining token count for the AI scored questions is displayed at the left corner of the bottom toolbar.
